My Secret to Reducing GERD

Studies have shown that walking after dinner may reduce symptoms of GERD (Gastroesophageal reflux disease) versus laying down or going to bed within three hours after eating.   However, there are other benefits to walking after a meal. These include reduced glucose levels which help to keep blood sugar steady.  Also, you may be less inclined to have dessert before bed! This can be beneficial both for those who want to lose weight and for those trying to maintain healthy lean mass. You’ll avoid blood sugar spikes which may disrupt cortisol curves. These also cause inflammation in the body.
