How I went from fatigued, sleepless and gassy to getting my life back…and you can too!

Hi, I’m Rich Jacobs.  I’m a husband, father, friend, athlete, motivator, perfectionist, and addicted to education.  I am trained through the Kalish Institute for Functional Medicine and a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner. I am a former D1 strength coach with 7 NCAA Championships.

But first and foremost, I am an athlete.  Like you, I know what it’s like to always feel tired, not get enough sleep and feel bloated every time you eat.

In my mid-thirties, I had some typical life changing events- just moved, bad relationship and building a business.  As a result, I suffered from G.I.L.F.F.- Gut, Insomnia, Low Libido, Fat and Fatigue.  I was fat, tired and frustrated (if you know what I mean).  I went to the doctor and he offered Viagra and Ambien, but I wasn’t down for that.

I decided to research other options for healing as I knew drugs weren’t the answer, and I discovered my cortisol levels were rock bottom (even though I was told they were normal).  Within one month, I got my energy levels back up and that wasn’t the only thing I was getting back….  Next was addressing my bloating, gas and fat issues.  I took several supplements to help heal my gut and remove what shouldn’t be there.  I was back in the gym, eating without fear and feeling great!

Now, I enjoy:

  • Hitting the gym hard again
  • Spending time with my wife without getting so tired
  • Eating foods, I couldn’t touch before
  • Getting great sleep and waking up rested
  • Looking and feeling great

I decided to own my health.  Using my own journey to inspire others, I focus on getting to the root cause of your symptoms.

I do not diagnose or treat.  I help people.  I help athletes.  I know who you are and where you are trying to go.  Sometimes I recommend supplements to correct issues or fill in the gaps that nutrition isn’t covering.  Sometimes I refer out to someone who can address deeper emotional issues.  Sometimes I recommend bio-identical hormone therapy.  Many times I use all of the above.

With every client I see, I consider the whole picture.  Not just labs or symptoms, but how everything fits together for YOU.  There is no one-method-fits-all.  Some of you may need me every step of the way while others just need guidance.

My mission is to get athletes feeling great again, looking amazing and performing to your top level. That means looking at metabolism, hormones, detox and gut to get a clear picture and pathway to success.  Ultimately, you will have me in your corner during this whole process.  So let’s shift you from getting by to making waves and living the life you want to live.
